White has never been a colour I have necessarily affiliated my personal style with, and although it may be a forever chic colour to make any outfit feel clean and crisp, I’ve noticed it around high street stores and catwalks a lot recently. Like it’s grungier, perhaps cooler older sibling Black, it’s one of the few colours that you can rock in it’s entirety. Wearing all white nowadays is perhaps a reflection of a fresher outlook on life, the last grips on what we all wish was eternally summer. It’s fabulous eye catching qualities allow anyone to look like they’ve perfectly styled an outfit, when in reality, throwing on a white blouse and some ripped white jeans is an effortless way to get ready in the morning.
I’ve noticed this in various shows recently, shown particularly in the use of white in dreamy dresses and skirts by brands such as Chanel, Erdem and Celine as shown below.
